Tim is an independent member who was appointed to the KPA in 2005.

He is a Chartered Town Planner and a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and Royal Society of Arts.

Initially a journalist and broadcaster, Tim's local government career included the pre-planning of the prestigious Kings Hill development. He subsequently held several senior management positions, including 12 years as Chief Executive of Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council.

Tim has had spells serving on the board of the former Kent Training and Enterprise Council and was governor of a large secondary school.
