Paul Godwin

Medway Councillor Paul Godwin was appointed to the KPA in June 2007 and re-elected on the 14 June 2011.

Paul is Leader of the Labour group on Medway Council. He has been a councillor for 26 years and Labour group leader since 1999. He also acts as a spokesperson on the Regeneration and Development Overview and Scrutiny Committee and is also one of three ward councillors for Chatham Central. Paul was elected to Hove Borough Council for 12 years before moving to the former Rochester upon Medway City Council in 1995.

As well as being a Councillor, Paul runs a training consultancy. He is also a non-executive director and Deputy-Chair for the Kent and Medway Partnership NHS and Social Care Partnership trust and acts as a peer member for the Improvement and Development Agency.

Paul is a former senior full time officer with UNISON.
