Michael Hill OBE

Michael Hill OBE is Vice-Chair. He was originally appointed to the KPA by Kent County Council (KCC) in 2002 and elected Vice-Chair in June 2005.

Following a career in the Army where he rose to the rank of Brigadier and a four-year Civil Service Director appointment in the Northern Ireland Office, Michael was elected as conservative member to KCC. He was re-elected in 2005 and 2009. He is now Cabinet Member for Community Services.

Michael is a graduate of London University and a Chartered Engineer.

 

 

 

 


KPA committee membership and role:

  •     KPA Vice-Chairman
  •     Member of all KPA committees and groups
  •     Lead member for neighbourhood policing, anti-social behaviour and PCSO's
  •     Lead member for Legal Services
  •     Lead member for KPA recruitment and selection including Chief Officers, Independent Members   and KPA Senior Officers.
  •     Joint statutory committee with Essex.   

KPA representative on the following bodies:

  •     KPA/Kent County Council liaison
