John Cubitt was appointed to the KPA by Kent County Council in July 2009.
John was elected to the Kent County Council in June 2009 as a Conservative Member for Gravesham East.
He is also serves on Gravesham Borough Council as a member for Meopham North Ward.
John has a degree in mathematics and is a qualified engineer and financial advisor.
Now retired; having worked as an IFA and Financial Advisor for a variety of organisations; his previous experience includes time spent as an Electrical/Electronic Engineer and as a Further Education Lecturer where he attained the position of Vice Principal at a College of Technology before leaving to make a new career in finance.
He is a Governor at two primary schools and is a Trustee for two local Charitable Housing Trusts. He also represents KCC as a Director of Groundwork Kent & Medway.
He lists his interests as rugby and golf and is a member of Gravesend & Meopham Rotary Club where he has twice held the office of President
