In addition to the formal member and specific volunteering roles there are some opportunities for suitably qualified and experienced members of the public to take up ad hoc roles working with and alongside the KPA.

These roles include:

• 'External' members of the KPA Standards Committee that address all aspects of member's Code of Conduct, interests and remuneration.
• Tribunal and panel members to adjudicate on police personnel (Kent Police)

Typically these appointments are subject to an advertisement on the website or local newspapers and involve a formal interview and selection process.
