We run a number of events that you can become involved in:

  • Themed summer road shows running from July - September. We visit town centres across the county to find out your concerns and policing priorities.
  • Adhoc conferences to talk to bespoke groups in the community
  • Schools consultation programme - we are visiting schools around the county to find out what students aged between 12-15 years old think of policing where they live.
  • Older people consultation programme - we've teamed up with Age Concern to visit various day care centres around the county. Through a very informal debate we find out what the over 60's see as their top concerns and what should be our top priority in their eyes.

What happens to your feedback?

After each public consultation we produce a short report, which captures the main issues and outcomes of the session.

This information is fed back to the Kent Police Research team and the local policing area, where the relevant officers will follow up on any identified concerns and work with partner agencies.

All the data contributes to our Policing Plan targets and objectives for Kent Police, reflecting your priorities and what you want to see the policing doing.
