Purpose and responsibilities
This committee monitors Authority members ensuring they adhere to a Code of Conduct.
The Standards Committee will:
- oversee the behaviour of Authority members
- advise Kent Police Authority on its Code of Conduct
- monitor the Code of Conduct
- advise and trains members of Kent Police Authority on the Code of Conduct
- grant special permissions to not comply with the Code of Conduct when regulations allow
- consider reports from the National Standards Board for England relating to complaints or misconduct by any member of the Kent Police Authority

Remuneration sub-committee
The Remuneration Sub-Committee oversee the members' allowance scheme and expenses. It also oversees the pay and conditions of the Chief Executive, Graham Hooper and the treasurer, David Lewis, and Force Chief Officers.
