Public Meetings
Joint Statutory Committee - Kent and Essex
Working in collaboration
In 2007 Kent and Essex Police Authorities and Forces agreed to work in partnership for the benefit of the public. Working together provides many opportunities to do business differently e.g. sharing our marine services, helicopter and setting up a joint procurement unit.
On 1st April 2008 an agreement was drawn up between Kent and Essex Chief Constables and Police Authority Chairs detailing arrangements for Essex to provide air support services to Kent. This agreement is reviewed annually and will again be subject to review in the spring of 2011.
You can read our signed agreement that honours all our joint working opportunities. For a more detailled breakdown email collaboration@essex.pnn.police.uk
Our aims:
- deliver the highest possible service to the community
- maximise potential cost benefits that working together may provide
- use resources more effectively and efficiently
- to increase visible policing
