Purposes and responsibilities:
Full Kent Police Authority meetings involve all members who make key decisions, considering the most significant and strategic policies for policing Kent and Medway.
The Full Authority meeting will:
- set the budget
- agree and publish the targets and objectives Kent Police will have to meet (view our Policing Plan for 2009-2012)
- agree major capital and IT investment projects
- consider new initiatives and policies proposed by the Chief Constable
- discuss the reports of major inspections and reviews of Kent Police
- agree the KPA Race Equality and Diversity Scheme
- decide which members should serve on which committees and other bodies
