Do you know someone who has made a difference in your neighbourhood? Helped improve your quality of life? The Safer Kent Awards celebrates outstanding work by individuals or groups who work with the public. Make a nomination online today...
You can put forward those that are making a difference to where you live - such as Police Community Support Officers, volunteers in the police service, Community Wardens, Special Constables, Neighbourhood Watch, and young people – they can all be nominated for their efforts.
The categories:
· Police Officer of the year
· Police Community Support Officer of the year
· Special Constable of the year
· Team of the year
· Young person award (under 21)
· Community Warden of the year
· Volunteer of the year e.g. NHW, volunteers in police stations, IAG, custody volunteers etc
· Outstanding Kent Police staff
· Lifetime achievement
Prizes:
Each winner will receive a sum of £50 towards a community project. Sponsored prizes will also be presented alongside a trophy and certificate. A shield will be presented for the lifetime achievement award.
Deadline for entries:
Entries are now closed. Those who were successful will be invited to attend an award evening with the Kent Police Chief Constable and Chair of the Kent Police Authority on the evening of the 3 September 2010.
Judging
The following representatives will judge entries: Unison, The Police Federation, Kent Police Authority, Kent Police, Medway Council, Kent County Council, Neighbourhood Watch and our sponsors.
